Lunch at the Peachtree Westin Hotel

This month I was invite to speak at a luncheon at the Westin Peachtree in downtown Atlanta. The event was held for children that are in the foster care system in the state of Georgia. Several small business owners, government officials, and corporations were represented. I had the fortunate pleasure of being a speaker along side Dominique Wilkins of the Atlanta Hawks. We both spoke on the topic of following your dream. It was a wonderful experience and I got to meet so many people that are heavily involved int he foster care system.

Chris Kids Classes

I had the opportunity to work with the Chris Kid's organization to teach classes to foster children. I was very impressed this last month with the students and their excitement. The students were mostly high school aged (from 14 - 19) and were from schools around the Metro-Atlanta area. We had the opportunity to talk on topic such as social graces, etiquette, interviewing skills, and communication skills. We played games and did role playing. I would like to thank the director of the program for offering me such a great opportunity to have one on one time with the kids.
